Károly Presinszky was awarded the Gold Medal Master “Teacher“

The prize was awarded at a ceremony on the occasion of the 36. National Scientific Student Associations‘ Conference on 24 November 2023 in the Great Hall of the Academy of Music in Budapest.

The National Council of Student Research Societies (OTDT) established the "Master Teacher" Gold Medal in 1997 in recognition of the work done in the field of quality higher education, in order to recognise and support all teachers and researchers for their outstanding achievements and long-term commitment in promoting, developing and organising academic activities that go beyond the compulsory curriculum. 

Over the past 20 years, Károly Presinszky has invested time and energy in mentoring talented university students. His students regularly take part in the Faculty’s Scientific Student Association’s Conference (TDK). In the faculty TDK, he has the roles of supervisor, opponent, committee member and chairman. He also plays an important role in the organisation of the institutional TDK. He is also responsible for the organisation and promotion of the annual conference. He was one of the initiators of the conference at the state level for Hungarians living in Slovakia. Some of his mentees have been nominated for the OTDK, the national conference organised in Hungary. He is also responsible for promoting publication opportunities for talented students. Since 2012, for the 12th year in a row, he has edited the conference proceedings “Paths to Science“, published by the Faculty of Central European Studies UKF Nitra. In these volumes, 12 of his dedicated students have already published their papers.
