On February 19th, 2019, we took part in a lecture on beer sommelier within the subject of sommelier. The invitation was accepted by Ing. Jozef Sivák who is the commercial director of the Erb brewery in Banská Štiavnica. They work with over thirty of the best hotels and restaurants in Slovakia.
On 5 February 2019 within the Introductory Sommelier course we got the chance to attend a lecture about Lyra chocolate - also called as brown gold. We were more than happy that Mr. Karol Stýblo, who is a Master Chef Chocolatier and also the owner of the Lyra chocolate company, accepted the invitation.
On 4th December 2018 second-year students of the Regional Tourism study programme, (Department of Tourism, Constantine the Philosopher University), within the subject of Basics of Hospitality participated in a lecture titled Managing castle hotel The Grand Vígľaš****.
On 30 November 2018, within the scope of the subject basics of hotel studies, we took part in a professional excursion in the Mercure Bratislava Centrum Hotel in Bratislava. The hotel is located in the city centre and is part of the AccorHotels group. Throughout the hotel we were accompanied by the deputy director, Mr. Štefan Gálik.
The students of the Department of Tourism at the Faculty of Central European Studies of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, under the supervision of Ing. Ľudmila Mazúchová, PhD., within the subject of Gastronomy, organized a gastronomical event called “The Flavours and Scents of the Nitra region“, which was held on 15 November 2018.
