The topic of film tourism has achieved international publishing success

Successful graduate of the Department of Tourism at the Faculty of Central European Studies of CPU, Mgr. Peter Moritz, PhD. has already addressed the topic of film tourism in 2017 in the framework of his bachelor thesis with Ing. Terézia Repáňová, PhD. In 2019, together with Ing. Ľudmila Mazúchová, PhD., (thesis supervisor) he wrote his master’s thesis on "Demand for film tourism in Slovakia". The thesis was the basis for a professional article entitled "Who takes part in film tourism? The analysis of determinants of visiting film locations" in the International Journal of Tourism Research on the analysis of determinants of visiting film locations. The journal specialises in tourism research issues. It is registered in Web of Science and SCOPUS databases, with IF for 2022: 4.6, Hirsch index: 75, Q1. The article approved in 2023 was supplemented with statistical methods by Ing. Michal Hrivnák, PhD., from the Institute of Regional Studies and Rural Development of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, where Mgr. Peter Moritz, PhD. successfully completed his PhD studies and is currently working at the university.

We congratulate the authors and wish them many more successes with their publications! At the same time, we would like to encourage other students to cooperate with their supervisors in writing their final theses, which may also result in works of international quality.
