During the academic year 2022/2023, the Department of Tourism at the Faculty of Central European Studies, CPU in Nitra, organized popularization lectures for secondary school students and their teachers.

These engaging lectures were conducted at the Secondary School in Nové Město nad Váhom, the Secondary School of Hotel Services and Trade in Nové Zámky, and the Šurany Business Academy.

The primary objective of these lectures was to acquaint the attendees with the Faculty of Central European Studies, providing them with comprehensive insights into its various departments, institutes, rich history, focal areas, and activities.

The central theme of these lectures revolved around the captivating travel experiences and expeditions of Dr. Jan Veselovský in Africa and Latin America, specifically Tanzania, Cuba, and Bolivia. Dr. Veselovský effectively presented geographical information about these countries, delved into their intriguing historical backgrounds, highlighted prominent tourist attractions, discussed the enticing gastronomy, and shed light on the unique characteristics of each destination. The students exhibited an interest in both the captivating travel anecdotes shared by Dr. Veselovský and the enticing study opportunities offered by the Faculty of Central European Studies.
