Smart Tourism Academy – project meeting in Italy

An international project meeting took place on 14–15 September 2026 at the Ecotekne campus centre (University of Salento) in Lecce as part of the SmartTourismAcademy project (project number 2025-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000362455). The project meeting brought together representatives from all partner countries, with the Department of Tourism (Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra) being represented by Ing. Norbert Beták, PhD, univ.doc., Ing. Hana Bieliková, PhD, and Ing. Kristína Pančíková, PhD. The partners discussed the project's interim results and further activities planned for the coming period. The programme also included an excursion to Masseria Stali, as an example of good practice in combining modern entrepreneurship with environmental protection, having achieved complete energy self-sufficiency and a high standard of environmental sustainability.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation and coordinate next steps toward achieving the project’s objectives.
