On Wednesday, March 29th, we have visited the beautiful city of Brno in the Czech republic. We traveled by bus and even though the way there was quite long, it was rewarding.
 

When we arrived in Brno we walked up a seemingly endless staircase up the Petrov hill to the Cathedral of Saint Peter and Paul. The Cathedral was very majestic and beautiful. It looked even bigger once we got inside. The most jaw dropping were the stained glass windows and we even got to hear the impressive organ music. Next we walked to the Zeleny trh where we separated into two groups and went to visit the Papilonia Butterfly house and the Ossuary at the Church of Saint James. The Butterfly house was a beautiful experience. We got to see exotic butterflies, birds, exotic fishes and even pet friendly turtles. Some of us were even lucky enough to get one of the unique butterflies to land on us, since they weren't scared of humans. The time seemed to fly when we were visiting this place that's definitely worth seeing. Next we moved to the Ossuary at the Church of Saint James , which was kind off a chilly experience. On one hand the interior was interesting and pretty in it's own way, but it might not be for everyone to see these bone structures up close. After leaving the Ossuary, we took pictures at the Brno astronomical clock and got few hours of our own time to discover Brno´s beauty. Most of us visited local restaurants and cafes for lunch, or took a walk around the town. After our lunch break, we went to the Špilberk park and walked up the steep hill to the Špilberk Castle. The view of the whole city was beautiful, though the weather wasn't really on our side at the end of our trip. We walked around the castle grounds, took pictures and descended back to town, to walk back to our bus. Though we struggled a bit to find our way back, we all safely got to the bus and left for home. The excursion was a nice experience and we had a pleasant time discovering the Brno´s beauty.
