Culture

University Creative Studio (in the dormitories). It is an integrative cultural space for students of the University and their artistic bodies to rehearse and realize productions, various scenic projects and cultural events. The studio is also used for the educational process (workshops, seminars, trainings, workshops) of the artistic and art education oriented study programs within the University.

Folk ensemble Ponitran is the artistic ensemble with the longest history at the University and focuses on traditional Slovak folklore with emphasis on the Ponitria region. The mission of the ensemble is to promote the interests of students, to build on traditional Slovak culture, to interpret it artistically, and to collect folklore material from various areas of Slovakia, especially from the Nitra and Tekovo regions.

The VYDI Student Theatre was founded in 1992. During one academic year, it usually produces one production, which the students present to the local audience at the University Creative Studio of the Faculty of Arts of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. Similarly, they participate in various regional shows or thematic festivals. Students' activity in this ensemble is not only related to the creation of theatre productions, but also to a diverse range of variable activities within the academic year: improligy, stand-up performances, street parades, St. Nicholas parties, majales, cabarets, matriculations, beanies, workshops, etc.

The Civic Association JA a MY is dedicated to the organization of cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, scientific conferences, seminars, discussion forums, round tables, discussions, as well as the preparation and organization of alternative artistic projects in a national and international context with an emphasis on supporting the comprehensive artistic development of the region. The association supports emerging artists, publicists and art historians to enable the public presentation of their creative and scientific activities. The best known of the activity of the association is the organisation of the Peter Scherhaufer Festival.

The Hungarian Choir of CPU has successfully represented the University on national and international concert stages, choral festivals and competitions. It regularly receives the Golden Belt award of the nationwide qualification competition for choirs Kodály Days in Galanta. The choir regularly gives concerts and aims to maintain and revive the Kodály traditions and to spread Hungarian choral culture, especially among the students of the University. The choir is currently hosted by the Faculty of Central European Studies of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra.

 

Sport

In addition to individual student performances, the sports activities of the students of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra also focus on team sports. An important place is occupied by the Association of Sports Clubs of UKF Nitra, which includes four sports clubs Volley Project UKF Nitra, BKM Junior UKF Nitra, Taekwon-Do UKF NITRA and the Philosophers Nitra hockey team.
