Application requirements for the Bachelor's degree

The basic requirement for admission to the Bachelor study programmes at the Faculty of Central European Studies of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra is the acquisition of a full secondary education or a full secondary vocational education completed by school leaving exam.

At the Faculty of Central European Studies of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, the selection of applicants for admission to the Bachelor study programme is based on the results obtained in secondary schools or on results of the National Comparative Exams (NCE) organised by the SCIO Agency. The NCE exam can be taken in several cities in Slovakia (including Nitra). Exam dates, sample tests and conditions for applying for the exam are published at www.scio.sk/nps.

The entrance examination for the bachelor study programmes at the Faculty of Central European Studies of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra is usually not included as a part of the verification of the study abilities. In the case of study fields of Teacher Training and Translation and Interpreting (these can be combined into a double major study with any other subject provided by the other UKF Faculties) may require passing an entrance examination from the second approbation subject. This fact is decided by the dean of the respective faculty and the information must be published by the faculty in due time in accordance with Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on higher education and on amendment and supplementation of certain acts.

The prerequisite for admission to the study programme Teacher Training in Hungarian Language and Literature in a double major is a successful school leaving exam in Hungarian Language and Literature.
