Blended Intensive Programme
Blended Intensive Programme on Algorithmic Thinking and Educational Robotics
The Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra will host its first Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) in 2025, organised by the Faculty of Central European Studies from 9 to 13 June 2025, focusing on Innovative Approaches to Fostering Algorithmic Thinking through Educational Robotics and the Use of 3D Technology in Primary Schools. The programme is designed for future teachers and focuses on schools where Hungarian is the language of instruction.
The programme aims to enhance algorithmic thinking skills by integrating educational robotics tools and 3D technology into teaching practices. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their pedagogical knowledge and acquire practical experience in applying these technologies in primary education.
Programme Structure
The BIP comprises both short-term physical mobility and a compulsory virtual component. The online session, set for 2 June 2025, will offer participants theoretical insights into algorithmic thinking and its significance in learning and everyday life. This session will lay the groundwork for the following practical workshops.
The physical mobility programme, scheduled for 9 to 13 June 2025, will include a series of interactive workshops on using Ozobot robots, BeeBot, and LEGO robotics in primary school education. Alongside hands-on training, participants will visit the Aurelium Science Experience Centre in Bratislava and partner primary schools, where they can observe best practices in real-world educational settings.
The BIP fosters international cooperation, allowing participants to share experiences, discover innovative teaching methods, and build professional connections. Through this initiative, the university aspires to advance technology-supported education and cultivate algorithmic thinking at a young age.
