Central European Areal Studies

The study programme is part of the Foreign Languages and Cultures programme. Its specific content focuses on the languages and cultures of the V-4 countries, i.e., it aims at the acquisition of a language other than the mother tongue. The doctoral school includes the acquisition of Czech or Polish at a level appropriate for native speakers of Hungarian or Slovak, while providing a rich knowledge of the culture of the Central European region.  As a result, graduates of the PhD. programme gain practical knowledge and skills.
